As we listen to the different voices and opinions coming from the media, it appears that the future of this generation is hanging in an unbalanced scale. Inequality prevails in every step of the way. Every elected official thinks he/she is doing the right thing, making the right decision, but right for whom? When the decision is made to take away benefits from the portion of the population that needs it most and gives it to that portion of the population that needs no help, how fair is that?
The old, the sick and the lame are all a part of our society. These people have served their communities in there own way. They are the ones who did the scrubbing and the scraping at minimum wage to maintain a stable environment in this country. They live from paycheck to paycheck, barely able to keep a roof over their heads, barely able to support their families. This country survives on the backbones of these people who are being forgotten. The part of the population that use to be middle class bears the brunt of poor decisions from the leaders of our country. If they have more than ($2000.00) two thousand dollars in savings, at least that’s what I remember when I tried to get help for my ailing uncle a few years ago) you need not apply for Medicaid.
This world would be such a pleasant place to live if we were less selfish, and more inclined to see the need of our fellow men. Granted , the Affordable Act Care has flaws, but it should not be replaced with a plan that will hurt those who need it the most. My premium has gone up; even though I’m not one of the rich, I know that it was needed to help the program succeed. There is enough wealth in this country to provide healthcare for everyone. We just have to be a little more sympathetic to the needs and well being of our fellow human being. We are all a part of a changing world; let us change together for the good of our country. Let us be practical. We are all made from the same material, flesh and blood. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is important to all to assist in the different stages of growth in us as humans. Many of us has more than enough of those things to sustain us. If we could just be a little less selfish and give up a little more from the excess Healthcare would be possible for everyone. #Blog #Healthcare
